Cycle Tour

Total :133km

Day 1-Tuesday 15th March 2011
West Cowie Loop 20km/ Warooka Loop 20km
I imagined it would be a quiet dirt road near some old towns.Yes since i have never riden this distance
The hills and road type definetly effected my ride since i got tired very quickly on the first day. I also got cramp going up the Warooka Hill. The weather was sunny and warm so it did not effect the riding but a small headwind did slow me down slightly. There was a small problem with the distance of the activity since it was the first major long disance ride in my entire life.It definetly changed my opinion of what a long bike ride is and feels like. The conditions of the road were normal. Lots of physical and some mental pain as well.I was told to just forget everything else and just keep on riding.

Items Needed:
sport shorts
t-shirt
Daypack
scroggin
letter writing gear

Day 2-Wednesday 16th March 2011
Innes National Park Entrance to Dolphin bay/ Return. 43km
We started the day by going up a hill at the start we then visited the Westcape lighthouse and we had to walk up to it. We later road on the dirt road which was heavily corrigated. It felt very uncomftorable. After we had lunch at Dolphin bay we came back down the dirt road and back to the entrance of the park.I imagined it would be hilly and very bushy.I havent riden in a National Park before. The first part with large hill coming down it was good but the grated road to doplhin bay was terrible so bumpy and it made the hard seats feel even worse, coming back up the large hill we went down was not so good as going down it. The weather was good with a good tail wind going down the hill but a bad headwind coming back up it.The continous up and down felt better than just long flats to me. This activity made me appreciatite riding on asphalt roads since I hate corigatted roads. The conditions were ok. Less physical pain but the dirt road to dolphin bay made me soar.

Day 3- Thursday 17th March 2011
Sunbury-Edithburg 48km
I imagined it would be a flattish road to Edithburg. I havent riden from one town to another ever before. The first ride to our lunch spot was not good since we had a hard headwind to compete with all day. The weather was windy but sunny. The headwind caused many problems for me. It definetly changed me seeing a distance and thinking its miles away but it only being a few kilometers. The road conditions were pretty good. The conditions were average. Some pain due to the extra energy needed to ride into the headwind.

  2. The time on my comment is not right. It is 11.20 am. I now have a Google account. Great that you are getting fit. Remember to check the inside label on your clothes to see if they can go in a drier. Or ask the ladies. C U
